The first large OLED display system is coming from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation.
Diamond Vision OLED panels from Mitsubishi will be 100 inch and more and will be available for sale from September 21. This panel is for indoor use and will use the newly developed technology from Mitsubishi, video controlling technology.
The result is vivid and seamless images with wide vertical and horizontal images reaching up to 80 degrees plus or minus. The OLED device is a joint production between Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Tohoku Pioneer Corporation. The OLED can be scaled and designed flexibly to form different shapes.
Mitsubishi will display this panel at their booth at CEATEC Japan 2010 to be held at Chiba from October 5 to 9. Mitsubishi had already showcased a 155 inch prototype panel during CEATEC Japan 2009. Mitsubishi used the technology used in the Diamond Vision large screens at public facilities like airports and sports stadiums.
