The only AMOLED TV that could give a competition to Sony’s XEL-1 11 inch TV is the 15 inch beauty by LG.
It is a feast for the eyes and the single most decadent piece of hardware seen. The rich color and contrast ratio of the LG AMOLED TV makes it better than all other 15 inch TVs.
Jeong Woo Choi, an LG engineer, has revealed that the AMOLED TV might be launched by the end of this year. The thickness of the TV was not divulged, but it cannot be more a couple of millimeters.
The 15 inch LG AMOLED TV has a LVDS interface with a response time of less than 0.01 ms. With a resolution of 1366xRGBx768 pixels and 16.7 million colors, the picture quality is unparallel. It has a contrast ratio of 100.000:1 and 200/400 Luminance.
It is being said that this 15 inch AMOLED is the predecessor of the highly anticipated 32 inch LG OLED TV scheduled for a 2010 launch.
