15-inch OLED panel launched by LG

LG announced that its 15 inch OLED screen will be unveiled this month in Berlin during the IFA 2009 Consumer Electronic Show.

The company has given a sneak peek into the OLED screen by uploading some photos in Flickr. 

It has been confirmed by Won Kim, the Sales and Marketing VP of LG OLED, that the product is already into production this summer and will hit the shelves in December 2009.

Although the price has not been confirmed by LG, market experts predict the cost to exceed $3000. It will make a great Christmas present for all those who can afford this gorgeous piece. This 15 inch OLED screen is being considered the most decadent piece of single hardware.

With a resolution of 1366xRGBx768 pixels and 16.7 million colors, the 15 inch OLED TV has stunned everyone. The ultra bright screen can be attributed to the contrast ratio over 100,000:1. The 15 inch LG OLED screen has luminance of 200/400 and uses the LVDS interface.
