19 inch OLED TV prototype from Samsung

Samsung Mobile Display has come up with a new inkjet printing method that can be used for producing OLED TV.

As proof, Samsung showed their new prototype of a 19 inch OLED TV that was produced using this new technology.

This new 19 inch OLED TV panel comes with a screen resolution of 960×540 pixel 58ppi. The brightness of the panel is 200 cd/m2. The panel also comes with a 8-bit color scale and offers a mind boggling 16.77 million colors.

As per the conversation between Samsung and TechOn, the company is only at the prototype phase at the moment. There is a lot of development happening still and there is bound to be some time when this panel is launched for commercial use.

One can experience the same OLED advantages with this panel – faster response time, wider viewing angles, out of the world contrast levels, super color reproduction and enhanced brightness.
