In 2012 Seiko Epson’s 37 inch OLED TVs Might Be Launched

Seiko Epson has lately introduced a brand new printing technology- inkjet mainly for 37 inch or even larger HD OLED TV panels.

According to the GM of the Core Technology Development Center of Seiko Epson Mr. Satoru Miyashita, Epson is considering various options for commercializing the inkjet technology.

Though Epson has made no official announcement about the plans for developing its own 37 inch OLED TVs, Miyashita sees 2012 to be the most potential year for 37 inch and larger OLED TV panels. And by 2015 the sale of these big OLED TVs will significantly increase.

Miyashita has also said that even though Epson has the capacity of producing the 8 inch OLED panels the company is still researching on the suitable application and commercialization of these large panels.

Miyashita has also pointed out that the Seiko Epson’s research on the printed OLEDs in association with the Universal Displays has shown positive results and the major problems with printed OLEDs has distinctly improved
