As per Peter Lude, Senior Vice President of Sony Solutions Engineering in the USA, 3D televisions could become the most important market for OLED TV technology.
This was reported by plusplasticelectronics.com, who interviewed him. All the broadcasters today are seeking higher resolution content and hence the importance of 3D TV. The CES 2010 will see Sony unveil their first prototype of a 3D OLED TV with a 24.5 inch display screen.
Mr. Lude made it clear during the interview that Sony is still very enthusiastic about OLED. The company is committed to the right product that gives the right performance at the right price for the manufacturers as well as the consumers. He said quite plainly that OLED is definitely a technology that Sony is closely monitoring and looking at.
With all the major manufacturers talking about and displaying their 3D OLED television prototypes, it can only bring in good news for the consumers.
