84 inch FPR 3D Panel from LG

On December 15 at Beijing, China, LG Display unveiled its Film-type Patterned Retarder, Polarized Glasses 3D Panel at the launch ceremony.

We should be hopeful about new dimensions in OLED research as well. In his welcome speech, Mr. Young-Soo Kwon, CEO LG Display, showed his pleasure in launching the opening of FPR 3D era in China. He believes that this superior technology is better suited to consumers.

This new product delivers full HD picture quality and also eliminates crosstalk and flicker. It uses films instead of glass substrates and this is bound to bring down the cost considerably. Consumers can use the polarized glasses of the product for long viewing without any discomfort.

The top executives from the six largest LCD TV makers of China were present during the launch. Konka, Haier, TCL, Changhong, Hisense and Skyworth from China marked their presence in addition to global companies like Toshiba, Vizio and LG Electronics. All agreed to cooperate in the promotion of the FPR 3D.
