Advantech to Produce Cost-effective OLED Panels

15 million is being invested by Advantech Global Limited for developing a pilot line of OLED panels.

China’s Pan Family, which had already invested $12 million in such deals earlier, has provided $12 million for this project. $2.1 million has come from Shanghai Ventures. This pilot production line will be used to produce OLED television backplanes and backplanes of Electronic Shelf Labels.

It will be manufactured with the OLED fabrication technology of roll-to-roll. After having manufactured the 4 inch AMOLED monochrome panels, Advantech is now set to manufacture OLED panels at a surprisingly low price. Electronic circuits of thins films were produced using the latest technologies by Dr. Brody. 

Dr. T. Peter Brody, who invented Active-Matrix, is also the founder of Advantech Global Limited. Advantech plans to rule the OLED television market by producing cost effective AMOLED televisions.

With the dream of becoming the leader in backplane manufacturing of OLED televisions, Advantech is busy working on the multimillion project.
