AMOLED Plus – what is it?

Samsung Mobile Display is planning to launch their next cell phone with AMOLED Plus technology.

AMOLED Plus, compared to AMOLED, definitely delivers crispier and better pictures under the sunshine. The brightness and shade ratio have been enhanced to deliver realistic and deep colors. The reinforced glass is scratch and damage resistant.

Although we don’t have any official statement coming from Samsung Mobile Display at the moment, we are in touch with them over the technical information about this new technology.

The first impression says that AMOLED Plus is definitely better than AMOLED but probably not as good as Super AMOLED.

The technical specifications of the proposed new phone containing AMOLED Plus technology include a 3.7 inch 16M AMOLED Plus display, 5 MP autofocus camera with 720p HD video recording, Android OS, 3.0 Bluetooth and other features like Kyobo E-Book, Allshare, live wallpapers, OZ Store, Daum Maps and access to various Google services.
