Bayer Material Science, AddVision Work Together For Manufacturing P-OLED Displays

With the Add-Vision Inc. the Bayer Material Science AG, a Bayer unit, has signed an agreement for patent license and technology.

The agreement allows the Bayer Material Science and the company associates rights to use AddVision’s reasonable property description and technology for manufacturing and selling the flexible P-OLED displays.

The P-OLED or polymer organic light emitting diode technology is printable and will have more extensive use in near future, even in OLED television. It will have its use in other unconventional products and applications as giftcards, labels and active packaging.

P-OLED can also be used in promotional products as well. The company though has not yet disclosed any information regarding the financial aspect of the technology.

According to the Functional Films Polymer Electronics Unit head and the Vice President of Bayer Material Science, Dr. Karsten Dierksen, the company has included this P-OLED technology to their portfolio for Functional Films and found this technology to be perfect to complement the Bayer electroluminescence technology. Thus, it is anticipated that this P-OLED technology has a bright prospect
