Diamond Vision OLED sold on September 21st

It was on September 21 that Mitsubishi Electric started selling its 100 inch and above sized Diamond Vision OLED.

The news about the Diamond Vision OLED was announced in October 2009 and it is a modular display for indoor use. Each of the modules is 384mmx384mm and comes with a 128×128 pixels resolution. The individual pixels are all 3mm in size and need to be viewed from at least two meters away.
 
As per Mitsubishi, Diamond Vision OLED is bright at 1,200cd/m2 and offers twice the contrast of normal LEDs. It also offers a wide viewing angle of +/-80. It is ideal for displaying in brightly lit areas like airports, shopping malls and stations. It has been jointly developed by Mitsubishi and Pioneer.
 
The Diamond Vision OLED is not for individual use and has been totally aimed at corporate clients. One thing is for sure – it does not come for cheap.
