As the world is getting used to the incredible image quality of OLED TVs, Dai Nippon Painting, a leading Japanese company, presents LED and OLED posters.
The LED and OLED posters, to be used mainly for advertisements, will have low running cost; approximately 60 percent of the price of fluorescent lamps. The LED-based posters will have white light behind the printed colored images. These OLED posters will be used for creating texts. With a lifetime of 20,000 hours, the OLED-based posters measure 29 inches by 20 inches.
Dai Nippon has combined the LED (light emitting diodes) and OLED (organic light emitting diodes) technology to make the posters look animated. The randomly appearing lights of the LED make the elements on the poster appear and disappear.
These posters by Dai Nippon are flexible enough to be placed on curved surfaces. The LED and OLED posters are also vibration resistant. The prototype of this poster was displayed at the Eagles’ Stadium of Japan’s Sendai City till 11th April.
