These bendy little screens aren’t likely to go on sale very soon but flexible OLED screens are a real glimpse into the future.

The flexible OLED has substrates that are made of some of the flexible plastics or metallic foils and they are usually quiet durable and lightweight. If you use flexible OLED’s in electronic devices like PDA’s and cell phones it can reduce breakage which is one of the main causes of repairing and returning.
Flexible OLED’s are lighter in weight and thinner compared to other displays, which means that wall mounted televisions, portable computers, cell phones and other electronic products can even be smaller and lighter. They are even more durable making it more impact and less breakable compared to other electronic displays. As glass breaking is one of the main causes on most of the displays, flexible OLED is highly attractive commercial option.

The flexible OLED screens can also be sewn into fabrics like survival clothing along with cell phones, computer chips and GPS receivers.
Flexible OLED’s are built on an optically clear thin plastic film or bendable metallic foils which are at present under development by Universal Display Corporation. These kinds of displays may be flexible, and bendable to many surfaces. For instance, flexible OLED can be found attached to some of the curved helmets face shields, automotive instrument panels and shirtsleeve cuffs.
At the moment, flexible OLED screens aren’t big enough or high quality enough to come to the mass market.
