The Future of OLED TVs Can Be Brighter By Making It Less Pricey

OLED technology seems to have stolen the show in 2009 CES, proving all the statistical speculations wrong.

Just two years back, OLED display technology was assumed to be soon annihilated from the market for its high manufacturing cost.

The Statistics shows that if companies take active initiative in the development and production of OLED technology and can lower the price of the OLED products, by 2014 the OLED TV market can reach up to $3.3 billion from its current market of about $600 million.

While the most advanced LCD TV costs not more than $2000, the price of any OLED display can be 2.1 times higher than the LCD models.

The currently available OLED TVs cost very high and can suit the pockets of the affluent class only. But to be the market ruler it needs to satisfy the mass.

Technologically far advanced and much more energy efficient than the LCD or plasma TVs, OLED display can surely win the world only by making the prices compatible.

OLED technology can rule over the LCDs and plasma TVs by lowering the manufacturing cost. OLEDs work by passing an electrical current through a layer of organic chemicals tuned to various colors.
