No HUD (heads up display) of the past has come close to the NeoView Kolon transparent OLED displays.
The transparent OLED was showcased at the 2010 FilmTech. It is the perfect thing that can be used in a car.
This transparent OLED has a Dot Matrix display format and can display six million colors. With a brightness of 100 cd/m2, it can have maximal 62 percent transmittance. It has a thickness of 1.2T and can be easily wired into the car.
This 2.4 inch OLED display has been produced by NeoView Kolon with the automotive industry in mind. The TOLED tech will provide specific information onto the windshield to the driver.
A transparent heads-up OLED display only reminds us of the sci-fi movies. The OLED panel used as a background is the most striking feature. Although there has been no news from NeoView Kolon about the launch date or the price, it is expected to be very expensive.
