IFA 2009 begins with rich offers for OLED lovers

The IFA 2009 has some surprises in store this season.

Large OLED TVs to Blu-ray players, IFA will have it all this year. The IFA held at Berlin, is the world’s largest consumer electronics show. All the leading brands of electronic goods along with new companies display their new range of innovative products.

In the recent past we have seen Sony, LG, Samsung and other others make headlines with their OLED panels. IFA is trying to extend its market to North America this year.

The 2008 IFA had a footfall of 215,000 and was held at a 1.3 million square feet arena. It boasted of over 1200 exhibitors and was a very successful show.

The IFA, having completed its tour in Taipei and Las Vegas earlier this year, has hit Berlin on Wednesday before proceeding to Tokyo.

The International Funkausstellung (IFA) has been conducting shows since 1926. Today IFA includes electronic lederhosen, notebooks, OLED and LCD screens, mobile phones, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, TVs and media players.
