OLED TVs have wooed consumers with its bright and flawless image quality.
However, the number of shipments of OLED TV remains low because of the high price tag and relatively smaller size. iSupply has divulged in their latest report that OLED TV revenue will rise up to 200 times by 2015 but OLED TV shipments will form a small section in the international television market.
iSupply has been involved in analyzing market trends for a long time and they predict that OLED TV shipment revenue will reach $1.5 billion by the next six years.
Currently, the OLED TV market generates revenue of $10 million. OLED TV market will become the application generating the highest revenue, leaving behind the cell phone display market that has a higher volume of production.
The number of OLED units shipped in 2009 is 25,000 and it is expected to go up to 850,000 units by 2013 and 4.7 million by 2015.
