LG Display Unveils 15 inch OLED Panel Featuring Finest Images

The new LG Display features 15-inch AMOLED panel with LTPS board that enables the device to produce images with high resolution.

The flexible AMOLED panel is quite tough and is designed to endure shocks. In order to emphasize the strength and durability of the LG Display OLED panel a demonstration movie shows a hammer repetitively hitting the panel and leaving it unhurt.

On a glass substrate an OLED coating is formed by the LG Display. While the backside of the OLED layer is covered with a steel sheet the front is protected with a resin sealing coat.

The LG Display presents XGA resolution with 1,366 x RGB 768 pixels and 105 pixels per inch. The frame frequency of the LG OLED Display panel is 120 Hz. The device features an average brightness of 200cd/m2 and an extraordinary contrast ratio of 100,000:1.

By using the LTPS board this 15 inch OLED panel can deliver finest images. This is again going to revolutionize the OLED-based television technology.
