LG to introduce 31 inch 3D-OLED

As expected, LG did display its new 31 inch 3D-OLED TV at IFA 2010 in Berlin.

The management of LG Electronics has now divulged further information about this prototype.

The standard shutter technology is not used in OLED TV. LG uses a technology called polarizing filter so that it can cut the pictures for both the right and the left eyes.

The Tandem White OLED technology is presently in use on all the new models of OLED TV. The new models include the 15 inch 15EL9500 model that is available all over Europe.

This new technology is expected to increase the lifetime, efficiency and color coordination of all the new OLED display products of LG.

The LG Electronics team has announced in Berlin that it is waiting for the new 5.5 Gen plant to be ready so that it can launch the new 31 inch 3D-OLED TV somewhere in mid 2011.
