LG launches 15 inch OLED TV commercially

 The IFA 2009 had witnessed the launch of the attractive 15 inch LG OLED TV.

This OLED TV has now hit South Korean stores. The LG TV has now become the largest commercially available OLED TV in the world. The only OLED TV that had been commercially launched was Sony’s 11 inch XEL-1.

Although the price of the 15 inch LG OLED TV has been confirmed, it is expected to be pricey considering that the 11 inch Sony TV was $2500. It has been stated by an LG executive that a 40 inch OLED TV is in the pipeline and will be out soon.

The 15 inch LG OLED TV has 30,000 hours screen life and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The number of colors reaches up to 16.7 million. The OLED TV has a resolution of 1366xRGBx768 pixels. LG is now set to develop the OLED display panel’s fabrication line.
