LG plans to invest more in OLEDs

This year the LG group is supposed to invest 3.7 trillion on R&D.

It shows a remarkable increase of 23 percent from last year’s investment. The company plans to develop and improvise wireless communication, consumer electronics and next generation displays. One of the things that LG plans to develop is the OLED technology.

Organic light emitting diode, better known as OLED is one of the most promising technologies in the display and light industry. It is being used in both domestic and commercial purposes.

It is being produced in varied shapes and sizes. Large OLED walls and tiny OLED panels have swept consumers off their feet. OELs or organic electro luminescent panels have been used in mobile phone displays. The ability to produce its own backlight gives OLED panels the ability to save power.

The contrast and rich color of the OLED panels is unparallel. Investing in such a technology is a wise decision by the LG Group.
