LG unveiled its 15 inch AMOLED-TV Display during the International Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas in early January 2009.
This 0.8 millimeters thick display, which is as sleek as a credit card, has a resolution of 1366 pixel by 768 pixel. With a lifetime of 30,000 hours, the LG AMOLED-TV Display will go into production from June 2009.
LG’s director of OLED sales and marketing states that this AMOLED-TV Display will be out in the latter half of this year, as soon as they get customers. With stunning image quality, the LG AMOLED-TV is set to give tough competition to its rivals.
The amazing contrast is unparallel and viewers will be floored by the life-like quality of the photos and videos displayed on this AMOLED-TV. This OLED panel is compatible with televisions, laptops and computers. It comes with 200 cd/m2 (with Pol.) and 450 cd/m2 (peak) brightness and 100,000:1 contrast ratio.
