LG and Samsung display their 3D OLED panels

The top two OLED panel manufacturers in the world, LG Display and Samsung Mobile Display showcased their newest 3D OLED panels for smartphones.

The venue was the FPD International 2010.

The LG Display 3D OLED panel has a resolution of 320×360 pixels and offers as many as 16 million colors. The same panel is available in 2D and has a screen resolution of 360×640. The Samsung Mobile Display 3D OLED panel is 3.2 inches and offers WQVGA resolution.

At the moment there is no information available about the time when these panels are slated to hit the market. There is also no news about what is going to be the proposed price of these panels.

3D OLED panels are a step ahead of the normal OLED panels and it is generally believed that this technology is going to be the future of smartphone display technology. Stay tuned for more updates in this domain.
