LG and Samsung predict bright future for large OLED TV panels

samsung-flapping-oled-0-05mmLast year Sony stole the OLED shows and this year it is LG and Samsung’s turn to surprise us by launching their super thin OLED TV models in the Las Vegas CES Expo 2010.

Samsung Mobile Display, who currently dominates the OLED market, is producing 20,000 OLED mobile phone panels per month and is expecting more sell in the coming year.

The company has predicted dramatic growth of OLED TV market by 2012 and has planned to produce their 30-inch OLED TV panels by implementing the 5.5th generation technology.

LG is introducing the 15 inch OLED TV globally this week and is looking forward to produce about 40,000 OLED TV panels of 30 inches in 2012.

Sony though struggling hard to regain their top position has decided to introduce their latest 27 inch OLED TV panels at 2010 CES.

According to Samsung, all these future OLED devices with their finest pictures and highest efficiency level will be painfully expensive.
