LG to Showcase 15 Inch AMOLED Screens at the IFA

The IFA 2009, held at Berlin, will witness some LG OLED and AMOLED TVs.

IFA 2009 will be held from 4th to 9th September 2009 and will showcase some of the latest OLED panels by leading manufacturers. LG will display some of their 15 inch AMOLED and smaller OLED and AMOLED panels at the IFA.

It has been revealed by Won Kim, the Sales and Marketing Vice President of LG Display OLED, that mass production of the 15 inch OLED screens have already begun. These are supposed to hit the market by end of 2009.

The price is not yet divulged, but it is being guessed that can cost up to triple the price of a LCD TV. 

The IFA is one of the most eagerly awaited shows of the year. Various companies announce what they are about to showcase at the show. The AMOLED panels from LG are already grabbing headlines.
