LG Display has announced that they are ready to restart their mass production of small OLED panels.
The production is slated to start in the first half of this year. Their new 4.5 generation production line in Paju will be ready for operations in a few months.
It has been reported that Nokia is going to be one of the first customers for LG AMOLED panels. Samsung Mobile Display used to provide OLED panels for some of the Nokia smartphones, Nokia C6, E& and N8.
LG has already announced its plans for the US and European markets in the year 2011. They are planning to launch their 31 inch OLED TV in both these markets this year. It has also been heard that LG is planning to launch their prototype for the 55 inch OLED TV in 2012. The launch for this 55 inch OLED TV is planned for 2014.
