OLED with color filter to Enhance Productivity

The best ways to enhance productivity is to use OLED with color filter which helps in increasing the yields in the deposition evaporation equipments, says OLEDNet.

The present TFT-LCD production procedures take about 60 seconds to complete. The AMOLED procedures take around 240 seconds. Both LG and Samsung are devising new ways for speeding up the entire process. The vertical deposition evaporation system is being developed by Samsung, while LG is focusing on developments of the horizontal varieties. Both the process however takes 2 minutes.

OLEDNet stresses on the use of white OLED along with the color filters. OLED of the white varieties are capable of reducing the evaporation deposition in less than a minute. It produces light using RGB as well as the other parts in a single shadow mask.

Two primary problems in these cases become prominent. The AMOLED white materials are not yet ready for the process. Secondly, there is also a tendency of loss of color. However, the OLEDNet stresses that displays are better than the contrasts of TFT-LCDs.
