New OLED deposition machines from eMagin

eMagin has announced about an agreement to build OLED deposition machines.

This machine will help advances in its proprietary manufacturing process. This new machine is expected to hike OLED deposition production ten times and contribute significantly to the automated processes for producing OLED microdisplays of the company.

This new machine will replace Satella, the machine eMagin has been using for production since 1996.

Mr. Andrew Sculley, President and CEO, eMagin believes that this new machine will be instrumental for the growth and success of the company. According to him, The substantial production efficiency from this next generation OLED deposition machine is clear.

Mr. Sculley also said that Satella will continue to be used by the company’s R&D team to allow for a much more effective manufacturing process.

The new machine is expected to be completed by the spring of 2011 and production will probably start in the fall of the same year.
