OLED industrial base being set up in Guangdong province

An OLED industrial base will be set up in Guangdong’s Foshan City.

It has been decided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China that it will support the human resource development, exemplary application, industry chain construction and innovation.

The new OLED industrial base will bring about the alliance of 20 local Chinese companies, who will join hands to improve the OLED technology.

Some of the companies to be a part of the Foshan City OLED industry are Sun Yat Sen University, IRICO Group Electronics Co. Ltd., TCL Corp., Truly International Holdings Ltd., Anwell Technologies Limited and China Display Technology Co. Limited.

These local Chinese companies are all set to develop the flat panel display industry of China. The Guangdong OLED Industry Research Institute is being established with an investment of RMB 220 million or $29.33 million.

The next three years will see the production of a new line of 370mm x 470mm OLED panels.
