As per the new market research called OLED Market Analysis by Display and Lighting Applications (2010-2015), the global OLED market will be worth more than $3 billion by 2015 with a CAGR of 27.8% from 2010 through 2015.
The current OLED market is still in the developmental phase and the focus now is on research activities to commercialize OLED products. Collaborations and joint ventures are the most popular strategies and account for more than 60% of all strategic developments in the OLED domain. Acquisitions have also played a big role in the strategic moves.
The current manufacturing units are mostly located in the Asia Pacific, especially in South-East Asia due to the cheap cost of raw materials, labor and manufacturing technologies.
