As per the Japanese newspaper Nikkei, the new Sony PSP2 will be launched in 2011 and will feature AMOLED display and 3G technology provided by NTT DoCoMo.
Another feature of the PSP2 will be the WLAN facility. This, along with the 3G technology will allows players to connect online from anywhere. Apart from the wireless functionality, the new Sony PSP2 will be using the OLED technology. Sony is also using a new processor for this new gaming console.
We also heard from Nikkei about the PlayStation Phone, a smartphone with some of the major game features. The PlayStation Phone will use the Android operating system from Google and will allow many non-game software programs to its users. Video and scheduling software are worth mentioning in the non-game software programs.
It is expected that the unveiling of the new Sony PSP2 will happen during a press conference scheduled on the 27th of this month. The PlayStation Phone will follow next month.
