The much awaited IFA was held at Berlin from 4th to 9th September 2009.

It is the greatest gadget festival of Europe and gives tough competition to the CES. Like always it has showcased the latest and most innovative technologies from the world of electronics. The IFA is also the biggest European forum for conducting business of consumer electronic goods.

Mark Cieslak from BBC’s popular show Click had visited the IFA and some of the latest gadgets have been featured on the show. The AMOLED and OLED TVs have stolen the show at the IFA this year.

OLED TVs are the next big thing after the success of its predecessor LEDs. The OLED technology has overshadowed all other flat screen televisions. It conserves power as it does not require backlight. It is paper thin and flexible.

Some of the OLED panels can also be operated under water. LG and Sony have displayed their new OLED TV models at the IFA 2009.
