But it was believed that OLED TVs have a shorter life by 40 percent as compared to LCDs. With the introduction of the Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology, this problem has been overcome.
Two of the market giants have decided to work together to double up the span of the OLED displays. With the help of this new technology, a unique display is being created that will consume less power because of the emission of light. This is also said to increase the efficiency of the OLED TVs.
Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology will use a metal membrane into the prototype screen. Consequently, the light in the OLED TVs will be delivered in the substrate from the polymers. To achieve the desired result, the brightness of OLED displays might be halved.
