Panasonic Team up with Sumitomo Chemical to Develop OLED-Tv Panels


panasonic-oled2Panasonic has recently astonished us by saying that they are going to develop an advanced OLED display panel in collaboration with Sumitomo Chemical Co.

As per the report published by business daily Nikkei Panasonic is all set for the joint venture with Sumitomo which aims at developing and producing 40-inch or even larger OLED panels by the next year.

Panasonic has also hinted at the company’s intention of collaborating with other companies in developing OLED technology. Though they have not mentioned any particular company, the earlier rumors about Panasonic working together with Toshiba to develop a new OLED based 37 inch TV have sparked the speculative minds.
Panasonic is going to manufacture the new and advanced 40 inch or larger OLED panels at the currently made IPS Alpha factory.

Though many have assumed the high chance of Panasonic’s first OLED TV being a panel of 37 inch.

Panasonic and Sumitomo are all set for the joint venture to introduce an advanced OLED TV by the next year. Business daily Nikkei confirms the news. Panasonic can also collaborate with Toshiba in developing OLED TV.
