Samsung Deems 14.1 inch and 31 inch OLED TVs As ‘Production Ready’

There was a talk going on about Samsung 14.1 inch and 31 inch OLED TV for quite some time, though no such products have been seen in the market thus far.

But now, things seem to take positive turn as Samsung has deemed these new AMOLED TVs as production ready sets during the SID last week.

The Samsung 31 inch OLED display grabs attention as being world’s first full HD (1,920 x 1,080) OLED display. The prototype features finest images with high resolution and 1,000,000: 1 contrast ratio, over 100% NTSC color gamut, 31 inch wide and 8.9 mm thin display panel.

The 14.1 inch WXGA is meant for laptops with its 2.7 mm razor thin display panel, 1366 x 768 resolutions, 200cd luminosity, 107% NTSC color gamut and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1.

All sounds great and it will be more exciting to see these ‘production ready’ models as ‘ready for sell and shipping’ products soon on the store shelves.
