Samsung Live Ticker

Samsung, in partnership with Verizon, has launched a brand new smartphone – the Samsung SCH-i400 Continuum.

The specialty of this phone is that it comes with dual displays, the first of its kind in cell phones. Both displays are OLED panels – there is the main display and then there is the secondary display called the Ticker.

The Ticker is located under the main display. For the moment, not too much information is available about the main display but we have learned a bit about the Ticker display.

As a user, you can use the Ticker to read notifications on various RSS feeds. Twitter is one application that can be seen on the Ticker display.

Turning the Ticker on is very simple. All you need to do is grasp the bottom of the phone and the Ticker comes to life. This is another new possibility that Samsung has launched and we might even see other phone makers follow suit.
