Samsung misleading the market – LG

Mr. Kwon Young-Soo, CEO, LG Display, has said that rival Samsung has been misleading the entire market for the small and medium sized OLED displays.

Samsung has been talking more than what they have achieved in terms of picture quality, contrast ratio, energy consumption and response time.

As per Mr. Kwon Young-Soo, the focus for LG Display is more investment in the proposed 55 inch OLED TV, a technology the company believes in. As we all know, LG Display is planning to release their 55 inch OLED TV in the market in 2012.

Mr. Kwon Young-Soo also said that OLED may be the next generation technology but may not be the alternative for small and medium sized digital devices.

LG Display has been talking to Apple to supply their new picture quality enhanced Retina Display for iPad-3. Samsung has also revealed its plans to introduce OLED embedded laptops and notebooks in 2011.
