Samsung Mobile Display has its AMOLED production goals lined up

A goal sheet from Samsung Mobile Display now allows you to see documents that chart all the future goals of the company regarding AMOLED production.

Importantly, SMD’s 5.5G A2 Phase 3 line will be ready in Quarter I of 2012. This will allow them to mass produce larger AMOLEDs for the PC and tablet market. By mid to end 2012, 8.9-10.1 inch AMOLED Tablet-PCs can be possible.

QII or QIII of 2012 may also see the A3 production line from SMD. This line will be used to produce flexible OLED Displays. SMD is planning to introduce the second flexible production line by Quarter II of 2013.

The V1 Phase1 6th G8 pilot line from SMD will be ready in Quarter I of 2012 and this will produce 55 inch OLED TVs. The V2 Phase1 G8 OLED TV production line will be on in the Quarter I of 2013. This will usher in cost competitive large panel OLED TVs from SMD.
