Samsung SDI now for OLED

Samsung SDI has now entered into the OLED market now.

According to the company sources, they plan to dominate the market with full color AMOLED for IMT 2000. They will produce this full color OLED display in mass and thereby reducing the cost of production for OLED televisions.

OLED technology presents crisp and beautiful images. In this technology in organic thin film recombined electrons and positive holes are injected through anode and cathode. This forms excitation and light of certain wavelength is created to present a brilliant display.
Some characteristics of OLED are Self luminescence, wide viewing angle, quick responding speed and therefore faster operation, thinner dimension, and low current consumption. Because of self luminescence it can be seen both in light and the dark.

Wide viewing angle makes the picture very clear from anywhere you see that is from a wide range of places without affecting the picture quality.

Quick responding enhances picture quality. OLED technology reduces the consumption of electricity and therefore encouraged by governments as well.

Samsung has been pioneering the trend of manufacturing OLED television. And, with this new technology they intend to move even forward.
