The world’s biggest OLED display manufacturer, Samsung Mobile Display, is set to showcase an array of OLED and LCD displays at SID’s Display Week 2009.
Two diagonal OLED TVs at display have stolen the show at the Society for Information Display (SID). The 14.1 inch and the 31 inch OLED TVs are paper thin and have remarkable picture quality. The 31 inch TV is said to be the first TV in the world that has full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.
The slimmest flapping OLED panel will also be presented by SMD at the SID. This OLED panel is so light that it flutters in the wind. This panel has a thickness of 0.05 mm and pixel resolution of 480 x 272. 12.1 inch and 4.82 inch foldable and transparent ID cards were also on display.
A whole range of mobile displays will be done including 7 inch WSVGA and 3.2 inch real WVGA. The later will be the first OLED display that contains 310 pixels per inch.
