Samsung used a video during MWC-2011 to explain the working of their brand new AMOLED Plus Display.
One of the most striking features of the new AMOLED Plus Display is the brilliant display of superior colors. The readability has also been considerably enhanced. The device is slim at 21.5 mm and provides better battery consumption than the devices of the previous generation.
Samsung upgraded from Pentile Matrix to Real Stripe Panel Technology and this ensures that there are now 30% more pixels per inch of the display space. This offers a richer, clearer and brighter viewing experience. The energy consumption is 18% less than any previous display thus making this new device the thinnest and the longest lasting smartphone in the world.
Barry Young of OLED Association has hinted that this is a proof that we can now expect new devices every year that will reduce power consumption by 10 to 20 percent.
