Sharp Has Big Plans For LCD

Technology company, Sharp says LCD screens have a lot more to offer yet and OLED TVs do not pose any real threat.

Sharp president, Miyuki Nakayama has said that OLED poses no threat or serious competition to LCD Technology. He says, OLED television screens are no threat to LCD and won’t be for a long period of time. OLED TVs may have excellent picture quality, but the screens do not last long and can’t be made bigger.

Sharp has big plans for its next generation of LCD screens which involves massive screens with mind boggling resolutions. Sharp is all set for mass production of the next generation LCD television which will be opened for the public in March 2010.

Sharps big plans for LCD will be played out in Sakai in Osaka. The president of Sharp has shown strong confidence in such LCD models, compared to the next generation of OLED TV.

Sharp has indicated that it will be ready to display its tenth-generation of LCD screens which are likely to reach uptown 2850 x 3500mm in size. The screens will also pack a punch in quality – Ultra HD is yet to be seen in its full glory.
