A Sneak Peek at the Future of Large Screen OLED Television

Considering the rapid development of OLED televisions, LCD and Plasma televisions are about to become things of the past.

Who would not like to have huge television screens that as thin as paper and weigh a few ounces? OLED displays are indestructible and can be rolled and carried around with ease.

All the leading television manufacturers are announcing bigger OLED TV screens. LG will release their 15 inch OLED TV in December 2009 in Korea.

Sony announced the launch of their 21 inch and 27 inch OLED televisions. Samsung’s 31 inch OLED television is all set for production.

Sony is the first company to make OLED televisions available to consumers with the launch of its 11 inch XEL-1 OLED television. Panasonic Corp. and Toshiba Corp. are also expected to enter the OLED TV market in 2009.

Industry experts are of the opinion that production of OLED televisions will shoot up by 176 percent in the next 6 years.
