Sony recently introduced their OLED series called Trimaster-EL.
The series includes a 17 inch OLED monitor and another professional 25 inch OLED monitor aimed at the broadcast market. Both the 17 inch and the 25 inch monitors, called Bvm-e170 and Bvm-e250 respectively, come with an aluminum body with a depth of only 148 mm.
Both of them have professional grade connectors with DisplayPort, HDMI, 3G, SD and HD SDI. It is said that these monitors will be made available in Japan from about May 2011 and the cost will be between 15,600 and 30,000 dollars. We will need to wait and see when the products will be made available in the other world markets.
Both these panels are Super-Top Emission OLED panels with a resolution of 1920×1080. There is an improved processor to control the performance of the panels. Screen homogenization has also been optimized with the use of a new color management technology.
