Sony planning to launch professional OLED monitors

There are plenty of reports that have indicated that Sony is planning to unveil two professional OLED monitors.

The event for the launch has been decided as the Hollywood Post Alliance Tech Retreat that will be held in Palm Springs, CA from February 14th to 18th.

These two monitors will not be 3D monitors and hence there is no chance that these monitors will be similar to the glasses free 24.5 inch 3D monitor that Sony unveiled during CES-2011. The glasses free 24.5 inch is also reported for release in 2011.

As we write this report we must tell you that Sony already has a few professional OLED monitor models available for sale to consumers. Their latest product is PVM-740, a 7.4 inch OLED panel with 960×540 pixels resolution. The announcement of this particular model was made by Sony in April 2010.
