In May 2008 Sony declared that they are developing a new 27 inch OLED TV and will launch it within a year time. Now we are already in 2009 May and are eagerly waiting for the second generation Sony OLED TV.
But to our relief, Sony has already announced that they are going to launch the upgrade version of XEL 1 at IFA 2009, in September. The new 27 inches XEL 2 will have a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
Those who were astonished with the extraordinary picture clarity and color accuracy of the XEL 1 would love this model as well. With OLED technology as its base the new XEL 2 is sure to give much improved depiction of images and depth of picture.
There is no doubt that the XEL 1 will soon be replaced by its own progeny, the advanced XEL 2 with a huge OLED display that helps to reduce the power consumption.
