There is news going round that two of the largest electronics companies in the world, Sony and Toshiba are now planning to work together to develop OLED displays.
If and when this happens it will not come as a surprise because the cost of OLED manufacturing has seen many companies join hands, either in full or in part. OLED production cost has been delaying the commercial release of the product even though we have been hearing about prototypes and such for what seems like ages now.
There is also rumor going that instead of working together to develop OLED displays, Sony and Toshiba may ultimately end up together ramping up an OLED manufacturing lab in Higashiura in Japan.
Amid all this news flying around, it has also been heard that the new Sony PlayStation, Vita console will feature a 5 inch AMOLED display.
Please stay put for more updates in this area.
