Sony unveils low cost professional OLED monitors

During NAB-2011 at Las Vegas Sony introduced two new professional OLED monitors.

The new technology used in the creation of these monitors is called Super-Top Emission Technology. Named PVM-1741 and PVM-2541, these models are supposed to be relatively cheaper than some of the other professional OLED monitors that Sony has introduced in the recent past.

Both these monitors have the same features and characteristics and only their size sets them apart. Full HD support of 1080p is available in both the monitors and so is the 89 degrees viewing angle.

Some of the other common features of these monitors include 10 bit drivers and 1W mono speaker. The inputs for the monitors include two 3G-SDI and composite and Ethernet HDMI.

The price of these two monitors has already been decided by Sony. PVM-1741 will sell for $4,900 and PVM-2541 will sell for $7,500.
