SID-2010 was the event where Sony unveiled its 11.7 inch OLED display.
This panel is one of the many showcased by major electronic giants from all over the world.
The driver element of the panel is an oxide semiconductor TFT. Sony believes that the lifetime of this 11.7 inch OLED display panel will be at least 10 years.
The research laboratory in Atsugi Kanagawa in Japan is where this panel has been developed. This new 11.7 inch Sony OLED has a pixel resolution of 960×520 and brightness of 600 cd/m². The contrast ratio is equal to or more than 100,000:1 and the color gamut is 100% compared to NTSC.
The mobility of the panel is 11.5 cm²/Vs and S-factor is 0.3 V/dec. The color coding is 10 bit RGB. The panel also has another feature in the sense that the maximum screen luminance is 200 cd/m² with an all-white signal.
