Super AMOLED is not a grapevine

As per insider report, the upcoming Super AMOLED HD Display from Samsung will be soon unveiled.

The fall of 2011 will see 5 and 6 inch smartphones and the end of 2011 will see a 7 inch tablet.

As per the same sources, Samsung again used the PenTile Matrix to achieve the HD resolution on these proposed small displays. New materials and a new manufacturing process have also been developed. It is possible that Samsung has started to use Universal Display’s green PHOLED and will use it in their HD displays.

It also seems that Samsung will stick to FMM at the moment and not move to LITI. Their process improvement has allowed higher resolution displays that are cheaper in price. Since HTC has gone back to LCD and Nokia is selling less than expected, Samsung now has more capacity of AMOLED and thus, they are dropping the prices now.
